February MVLC Update: Plans Near Completion

Plans are near­ing com­ple­tion for the Mount Ver­non Li­brary Com­mons! The de­sign team has com­pleted 50% Con­tract Doc­u­ments, and have just a few months left to com­plete Bid Doc­u­ments for this mile­stone pro­ject. This mon­th’s up­date fo­cuses on the fo­cus on re­duc­ing the em­bod­ied car­bon of con­crete, the wayfind­ing and sig­nage de­sign, and the light­ing de­sign. The team will be in­cred­i­bly busy wrap­ping up all of the de­tail­ing nec­es­sary for con­struc­tion, with bid­ding slated to take place in June of 2022. Con­struc­tion is sched­uled to start in Au­gust of this year.
