We’ve gone vertical! Trico has started erecting the structural steel for the upcoming Blackburn Pickleball Pavilion at Skagit Valley College. It won’t be long now until those 10 courts are being used by people enjoying what may become Washington’s official state sport!

Five truckloads of steel building components recently arrived at Skagit Valley College, where the school’s charitable foundation is spearheading what is likely the area’s first pickleball pavilion. The 25,000-square-foot pavilion is being built in the college’s east overflow parking lot, north of East College Way. It displaces 69 parking stalls, but 43 stalls will be added back by restriping parts of the existing campus parking lots.
