HKP believes that environmental stewardship is integral to great design. Our goal is to provide the highest quality design with the least amount of environmental impact.

To get there, we must take into account many factors, such as initial cost, long-term performance, impact to human and environmental health, carbon footprint, aesthetics, and more. For example, do the expected energy savings during a product’s lifetime outweigh the potential exposure to unhealthy chemicals or the release of greenhouse gasses during the manufacturing process? Because tradeoffs are sometimes necessary, knowing where you stand as an owner on these important issues helps us select products and deliver a building with less environmental impact that ultimately meets your goals.
