HKP Partner Brian Poppe attended the 2022 A4LE Washington Chapter Conference last week and they didn’t waste any time jumping into the deep end of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) pool. The first day afternoon workshop was a discussion about how designed space, and sometimes the process of design, can affect DEI issues and methodologies on participation and engagement of people at all levels of a project’s development. Very interesting to hear different perspectives from people involved in the same processes.
